To Travel Agents: Duty of Care initiatives, which are specifically designed to ensure you know where corporate travelers are so that in the event of a major emergency (think 9/11, civil unrest or other events that disrupt travel), you can help account for each of them on behalf of your business client.

Interestingly enough, only 27.1% indicated that they incorporate Duty of Care initiatives into management of corporate accounts. But of those who do, a full 37.8% have had to execute on Duty of Care to locate business travel clients, proving the necessity of such initiatives.

Among the types of incidents requiring you to execute Duty of Care procedures for your clients, the top answers were Airline emergency (64.5%), Hurricane (48.4%), Civil unrest in an international country (38.7%), Earthquake (35.5%), Snowstorm (29.0%), Volcano 12.9%, Tornado (9.7%) and Train crash or derailment (6.5%).
