Delta One, First Class and Delta Comfort+ offer premium experiences in Main Cabin and Basic Economy offer options for all customers.
Delta Air Lines is redefining the products it offers customers to further distinguish the choices available to customers. Five distinct products include Delta One, First Class and Delta Comfort+ which offer customers the best of Delta’s services by providing premium products while Main Cabin and Basic Economy will offer value options for customers with Delta’s high standards of service.
Delta is providing its’ customers with a thoughtful, well-defined spectrum of options as they make decisions about upcoming travel, said Glen Hauenstein, Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. “Whether a customer prioritizes the perks of Delta One or the value of Basic Economy, every seat comes with impeccable service and unmatched reliability.”
Providing an easy-to-recognize product standard and level of service is the latest step in Delta’s strategy to offer differentiated experiences to customers seeking to tailor travel to their specific needs.
Starting March 1, 2015, Delta you can choose between:
Delta One, formerly BusinessElite, is offered on long-haul international routes; also between New York-JFK and Los Angeles or San Francisco
First Class is offered on short-haul international and domestic routes.
Delta Comfort+ offers an upgraded experience on all two cabin aircraft around the world.
Main Cabin experience is provided everywhere Delta flies flies offering a high standard of customer service.
Basic Economy offers Main Cabin service with fewer flexibility options, including limited Medallion® benefits, available in select markets.

Delta One full flat-bed and Delta Comfort+ seat upgrades between New York JFK and San Francisco are projected to be complete in the spring of 2015. Select international flights may offer Business Class service in lieu of First Class. Amenities in the Business cabin may vary by flight and aircraft.
Customers flying long-haul international routes or between New York-JFK and Los Angeles or San Francisco* will experience Delta One featuring full flat-bed seats and Westin Heavenly® In-flight bedding.
Delta One service also offers access to Delta Sky Clubs® on the ground and our highest level of service onboard featuring curated menus from renowned chefs Michael Chiarello, Masatoshi Ishimoto, Michelle Bernstein and Linton Hopkins paired with wine from Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson’s specially curated Delta Winemaker Series.
Customers flying short-haul international and domestic routes will experience updated features in First Class** with sophisticated new seat covers featuring a quilted design and dedicated overhead bin space. First Class customers board first and enjoy other premium touches like pre-departure beverages, complimentary meals and snacks on longer flights, and complimentary beer, wine and spirits.
The new Delta Comfort+ offers an upgraded experience to customers who want priority boarding, more legroom, dedicated overhead bin space and new seat covers featuring a diamond-stitched pattern. Complimentary beer, wine and spirits and complimentary premium entertainment with Delta StudioTM help to round out the experience.
Delta continues to provide customers a high standard of customer service through its Main Cabin experience. With features including more in-flight Wi-Fi than any other airline and free entertainment options through Delta Studio, customers have the choice to work or relax onboard.
Customers also continue to enjoy complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks on most flights.
Long-haul international routes feature complimentary beer, wine and spirits, meal service and a Delta sleep kit.
In select markets, customers now have the option of Main Cabin service with Basic Economy value when they purchase Delta’s basic fare product with limited Medallion benefits, fewer flexibility options such as advance seat selection or the ability to change or refund the ticket once it’s purchased.
Delta launched Basic Economy in 2012 and studied customer responses before updating the product in October 2014. Basic Economy is now available in select markets. Customers selecting Basic Economy still have access to in-flight Wi-Fi and Delta Studio as well as complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and snacks on most flights.
Basic Economy (E) fares are not eligible for paid, complimentary or discounted Economy Comfort or Delta Comfort+ (effective March 1, 2015), regardless of Medallion or other elite status, for flights flown on or after February 1, 2015.
Medallion Upgrade Updates
SkyMiles Diamond and Platinum Medallion members will continue to be eligible for Unlimited Complimentary Upgrades to First Class and will also receive complimentary access to Delta Comfort+ seats at booking. On March 1, 2015, Gold and Silver Medallion members will continue to be eligible for Unlimited Complimentary Upgrades to First Class as well as complimentary access to Delta Comfort+ seats starting 72 hours and 24 hours prior to departure, respectively.
